And who exactly am I who am writing all this to you? Well, in case you want to know, I'm Konstantina, but all my friends call me Tina. Which basically stuck with me from a young age, when I was still living in South Africa, specifically in a beautiful suburb of Johannesburg. The place where I was born and raised, and that's because Constantina seemed very difficult to everyone who lived there. So Tina... I am now a mother with two children and like any mother I always wanted to offer them the best and protect them from anything dangerous. And just like that, because of my love for these two but also my great love for travel, we also came to this online store. Did I confuse you? And yet these two are combined.
The love for my children and for everything organic, along with some disturbing news that reached my ears more and more often led me to a systematic study of the products we use every day in our lives. What did I begin to discover? That too many beauty products are made with cheap, toxic and animal ingredients!!! That products for sensitive skin are made with petrochemical products and that baby care products contain carcinogens. These and more made me look it up a bit… A bit??? While traveling, I was given the opportunity to try and get to know many of these companies and their products first hand. I met their physical stores. I tried, I tasted, I smelled, I learned... Wherever I went... Paris, London, Milan, Vienna, Prague, Rome and and and... I started looking along with all the rest and organic shops... And everywhere I tried. I was checking… I discovered some gems! Incredible diamonds, so unknown in our country. And so, on one of these last trips I thought: "Why can't someone who lives here in Greece get internationally recognized products. Organic cosmetics, natural products, safe with certifications and awards?” And that's how this journey began. The sweetest of all.
And why LuLuLa? Contrary to what one might assume, the reason for our name is NOT French. Basically, the name of our site is Ellinikotati and it takes us about 13 years back in time. When my two-year-old son at the time, every time he called me to him, he said: "Lulula papalo come on." A lot, huh? Here's the translation: "Mummy please come here."
